This award is voted for by the public and recognises an individual mentor for their tireless mentoring efforts who has gone above and beyond the call of duty and is an inspiration role model. The award is given to a mentor who is considered to have made a great contribution to mentoring and the winner is decided by a public vote. This award recognises mentoring support given to a start-up business in any sector (Start -up is defined as 2 years old or less on the date of your entry form) . Starting a business is a big challenge and this award is for a mentor who has really made a difference to an entrepreneur’s journey at this important stage of their business. (This award is one of the main awards, sponsored and presented by our gold sponsor.)

This award recognises individual exemplar mentoring support given to an SME or Corporate Company over 2 years old in any sector. Helping a business survive and thrive shows mentoring excellence and this award is for a mentor who has been part of a business journey and their success. ORGANISATION AWARDS

This award recognises excellence in mentoring within the third sector. The third sectors impact is seen across all sectors and this award is for those that support their clients through mentoring where it makes a significant difference to their charitable aims and objectives. (ORGANISATIONS ONLY)

This is for an organisation that has made the biggest strides or biggest impact to mentoring. It may be that the organisation has reached more mentors or changed the path of mentoring as a whole. DIVERSITY, EQUALITY & SOCIAL INCLUSION

This award recognises individual mentoring support given to a diversity setting whether this be race, LGBT or religion of the mentee. This award is for those mentors that have taken the step to understand and appreciate any diversity issues that have acted as barriers to a mentees confidence or outcomes.


This award recognises individual mentoring support given in a disability setting whether this be a physical or mental disability. This award is for those mentors that have taken the step to understand and appreciate any disability issues that have acted as barriers to a mentees confidence or outcomes.


This award recognises mentoring within the Army, Navy and Air force. It can be awarded to an individual mentor that has helped their mentee to make significant progress or overcome notable challenges. A mentoring programme, scheme or project that supports the forces can also apply.


This award recognises the achievement of individual women mentors who have made significant progress or helped others overcome notable challenges. This can be in the professional field or in personal development and can be awarded to an individual mentor or to a women’s mentoring programme.

This award recognises mentoring impact on the health and wellbeing of those they mentor or recognises the progress a mentee has made with their own health and wellbeing. It can also recognise formal mentoring programmes that support wider groups with a focus on health and wellbeing mentoring.



CREATIVE SECTOR

This award recognises individual mentoring support given within the broadcasting and publishing industry. This award is for an outstanding mentor that has supported their mentee in this fast paced sector.


This award recognises individual exemplar mentoring support given within the music industry. Some industries stand out for their profile and reach and this award is for an outstanding mentor who has supported their mentee in a trend focussed sector.


This award recognises individual exemplar mentoring support given within fashion and apparel. Some industries stand out for their profile and seasonality and this award is for those outstanding mentors that have supported their mentee in an ever changing sector.

CAREERS & EDUCATION

This award recognises individual exemplar mentoring support given outside a formal educational setting – Under 21’s. Mentee must be aged 21 or under on the 1st January 2018.


This award recognises individual exemplar mentoring support given to a young person in a school setting – Under 18’s. Mentee must be aged 18 or under on the 1st January 2018. This award can also be for a mentor employed by the school.


This award recognises individual exemplar mentoring support given to a person in a college setting and this award can also be for a mentor employed by the college.


This award recognises individual exemplar mentoring support given to a young person in a University setting and this award can also be for a mentor employed by the University.


This award recognises mentoring impact within science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Some industries stand out for their innovation and growth and this award is for those outstanding mentors that understand and appreciate stem related issues that have acted as barriers to a mentees confidence or outcomes.

SPECIAL RECOGNITIONS

This award gives special recognition given to a celebrity or high profile public figure for their mentoring efforts and recognises outstanding mentoring excellence provided by a single individual. The winner will be judged by the National Mentoring Awards panel.


This award recognises someone who has made the most progress in their personal or professional journey. It recognises the effort and successes that they have achieved and the sustained commitment they have given during their time as a mentee.
